DALLA
About This Spot
Stepping into DALLA, you’re enveloped by a warmth that feels both familiar and quietly special—a little corner of Italy nestled within London’s vibrant East End. The gentle hum of conversations mingles with the clinking of glasses, setting a relaxed yet attentive rhythm that invites you to slow down and savor the moment. It’s the kind of place where the flicker of candlelight and rustic, understated decor create an atmosphere rich in quiet conviviality and thoughtful simplicity.
Here, the food unfolds like a well-loved story—rooted in tradition but told with a fresh, curious spirit. Each dish draws you in not just by taste but by texture and aroma, revealing layers of care and seasonality. You might find yourself lingering over a plate of delicately filled pumpkin tortelli or savoring the comforting richness of roast chicken paired with subtly roasted broccoli. There’s a rhythm to the menu that respects the seasons and the provenance of each ingredient, making every visit feel like a small, delicious discovery.
The wines, thoughtfully curated, seem to echo the same balance—unpretentious but deeply expressive, inviting conversation and connection. Whether you’re drawn to a classic Negroni or prefer to explore lesser-known varietals, the drinks elevate the experience without overshadowing the food.
What truly sets DALLA apart is the quietly passionate rhythm running beneath it all. The people behind the scenes bring a genuine warmth and care to every moment, subtly witnessed in how smoothly each course arrives and how natural the service feels. Whether it’s a lively dinner with friends or an intimate meal marking a special occasion, the space cultivates genuine connection—between guests, food, and the subtle art of hospitality.
In a city flush with choices, DALLA feels like a quietly treasured find—one where the pleasures are understated and the memories linger long after the last bite. It’s a gentle reminder that the best meals are less about spectacle and more about the rich, human moments shared around the table.

5 stars are just not enough to express our love for the restaurant and people there. We always come to Dalla whenever we travel to London. You can never go wrong with anything on the menu and their daily specials. With seasonal food and wine, they always surprise us with the best food! Their service is impeccable too! Lovely people running the restaurant with love and passion. My boyfriend planned a proposal there and they just nailed everything with a wonderful personal touch! Thanks Gen, Gian and Gianluca for calling London another home so much easier!

Where to begin?! The food was impeccable. Everyone in the know when it comes to excellent food in London has been raving about Dalla. I can see why. Everything was unbelievably good and it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in London recently. I highly recommend the anchovy and butter toast and the sea bass with cucumber and caper mayonnaise. Also, do not sleep on the pumpkin tortelli, it’s one of the best I’ve had! I liked that the coffee in the tiramisu was not too strong and the sour grape syrup that comes with the panna cotta is so unique. I wasn’t sure about it at first but grew to like it. The only downside is that the waiters were a little cold. I tried my hardest to be friendly but the service was not very warm. However, tall guy with facial hair, who I think is the head chef, was very smiley and welcoming so that was nice. He stands at the front as you enter and you can see him plating everything if you have the right table which was fun to see. I’ll definitely be back! A reservation is definitely required - it’s a very popular spot!

Dalla holds a special place in our hearts! We had an intimate wedding lunch here and our friends and family are still talking about how amazing the food was! From start to finish each course was a delight. We went to Puglia the day after and kept saying how nothing could beat Dalla’s standard of pasta. Super fresh and thoughtful food, very creative, gorgeous wine and the best tiramisu I’ve ever eaten. Special mention to Gianluca for his attentiveness and for making everything run so smoothly start to finish. Jess & Freddie :)

I loved this restaurant! Every detail was authentic from the subtle elegant design to the beautifully executed food. This chef understands Italian food to its core. It’s about letting ingredients sing without pretentious flourishes. I felt like I was transported to a discovered gem in Milano but happily for me it’s in London.
